The conference aims to gather various fire and soil researchers from all around the world, contribute to scientific communication in the fire and soil research

Instructions for speakers
Each talk has been allocated 20 minutes to cover the talk and questions. Please allow 2-3 minutes for questions at the end. Please prepare your talk as a powerpoint file. All talks will be uploaded onto the conference's computer at the start of each day.

Abstract guidelines
Abstracts must use standard English and follow English syntax, grammar, and punctuation rules. Clarity of language is important. Poorly written abstracts will be rejected.
- An abstract is limited to a maximum of 400 words.
- Abstracts may follow roughly the following structure: background, questions, methods, results, conclusion. Results are required. Abstracts describing a non-research project without quantitative data must still report specific findings.
- Abstracts must be based either on new material or on review and synthesis of previous work.
- Please type the text of the abstract in Word using 'Arial' fonts. Greek and mathematical symbols are accepted if they are created in 'Arial' font.

Getting to Haifa from Ben Gurion Airport:
A direct train from the Ben Gurion Airport to Carmel Beach (Hof HaCarmel) Station in Haifa leaves twice an hour during weekdays and every hour during weeknights (weekend schedule is thinner). Information can be found at Israel-Railways web site
There is a service taxi or van service (called 'sherut') which departs from the airport whenever the car fills up, and takes you to Haifa for a reasonable rate of 115NIS ($30).
Getting to the University of Haifa from inside Haifa
If you want to come by private car, please take into considerations that you'll need an entrance permit to enter the campus with a car. This must be arranged in advance (please inform us). Public transportation (buses and service taxis) are working frequently, and they cost approximately $1.80. The main lines are 46/146 (from Hof HaCarmel station) and 37 (Bat-Galim station) from hotels on the Carmel to the University and back.

// ACCOMODATION
Haifa offers a wide range of accommodation options and tourist attractions.
There are many guesthouses and small hotels around in the Carmel Center, the German Colony, and downtown Haifa; we recommend using a hotel search website to find the best prices.

A new place just recently opened but is a bit isolated from the city center.
The University of Haifa offers an agreement with several hotels. In case you wish to book please download the form and contact the hotel.
